Overview |
After 15 years of incremental efforts to address flaws in America’s healthcare system, President Obama and the new Democratic majorities in Congress are poised to enact a sweeping overhaul this year.
While a successful outcome is uncertain, congressional leaders and the new president are pushing for action by August. The anticipated changes will have a profound impact on all stakeholders in the 340B drug discount program – providers, industry and the government.
The role of the 340B and Medicaid drug rebate programs, including the serious possibility of their expansion, is being debated right now in Washington. This debate comes at a time when healthcare providers and drug manufacturers are asked to step up their efforts to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the country’s rapidly growing uninsured population. It also coincides with policymakers’ desperate search for ways to pay for healthcare expansion.
Our 13th Annual 340B Coalition Conference, co-hosted by Apexus, is the premier venue for those who need to prepare themselves for this new healthcare environment. You’ll hear from players on Capitol Hill and the Obama administration who are directly involved with healthcare restructuring efforts and changes to the 340B and Medicaid drug rebate programs.
Not only will you be informed of upcoming health reform changes; you will also learn practical steps for reducing costs and improving outcomes. Leading experts in the 340B field from the government, provider and industry perspective will provide you with the tools you need to maximize savings and ensure compliance with the myriad of federal and state regulations that govern the 340B program.
The conference program consists of three separate tracks that include our popular roundtable discussions.
- Track One is designed for 340B covered entities, retail pharmacies, consultants and other stakeholders interested in learning more about how to implement and optimize the 340B program.
- Track Two addresses the broader community of 340B stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, consultants, advocates and 340B vendors.
- Track Three consist of small roundtable sessions that offer a more intimate discussion with a panel expert and allow for more questions and answers. Each session is limited to 50 attendees.
In the 13 years that this event has been held, this promises to be the most important 340B Coalition conference to date. You cannot afford to miss it. |
